Plan one useful session before you chase a faster route
A session plan should help you choose your next action, remember what happened and stop when you meant to. You can start with a blank piece of paper.
1. Name the decision
Write your character, faction, current level and the ruleset you intend to use. If you play with friends, agree on the details together before planning a shared activity. Keep an official source and its check date beside any game-specific rule.
2. Pick one objective and a fallback
Choose a manageable objective that fits the time you have. Then record an alternative if access, group availability or the current client changes your plan. An announced dungeon level band is a reference, not evidence that a particular route is fastest.
3. Define a stopping point
Write when you will stop and what would count as useful progress. Avoid turning a limited evening into an open-ended race. Record travel, preparation and group dependencies before committing to a long move.
4. Leave a note for next time
At the end, record what you attempted, what changed and one next step. The goal is a usable record of your own experience. Compare sessions only when the conditions are comparable.
